Safety, plainly
What MileClub does to help, and what it cannot do.
MileClub is not an emergency service. It does not call the police, an ambulance or any rescue service, and nobody at MileClub watches your ride. Alerts and SOS messages go only to the people on your ride and the contacts you choose, and they can be delayed or fail. In an emergency, call 112 (India and Europe), 911 (North America) or your local emergency number first.
Made to be glanced at, never handled
Ride screens say things in a few words, use colour and position to carry the meaning, and speak the rest aloud. Mount your phone before you set off and set up everything while stopped. Never type, tap through menus or read long text while riding.
Group alerts
During a live ride, MileClub tells the right riders when someone drops back, stops for a while, leaves the route or loses signal, measured in road kilometres. These alerts depend on every rider's phone sharing its location, having battery and reaching a network. A phone that is off, out of battery or out of coverage cannot send or receive them.
SOS
- Hold the SOS button for a second. A five second countdown starts, with a siren, so an accidental press can be cancelled.
- When it ends, the people on your ride and your safety contacts are told, with your last known location.
- SOS needs a network connection to send. It is a way to tell your group, not a replacement for calling for help.
Family link
Share a link and family can follow the ride on a map in any browser, without the app. They cannot join the ride. The link stops working when the ride ends.
Riding alone
On a solo ride you can choose safety contacts. They are told when you start and finish, and if you are late, stop for a long time or your battery runs low. Only on rides where you turn this on.
Emergency details
You can add your blood group and an emergency contact. Only the organisers of your trips and the leads of your rides can see them.
Your location
MileClub uses your location only during a live ride you started or joined, shows it only to the people on that ride and anyone you send a family link to, and deletes raw positions 72 hours after the ride. Read the privacy policy.
Routes, navigation and weather
Routes, turn-by-turn directions, distances, travel times, weather and official warnings come from third parties and can be wrong, late or missing. Roads close, passes shut and weather changes fast. Follow road signs, the police and local advice, and check conditions yourself.
You ride at your own risk
Motorcycling is dangerous. You are responsible for your riding, your bike, your fitness to ride, your licence and papers, your gear and the law where you ride. MileClub organises nothing itself: rides and trips are arranged by riders and organisers. Read the full terms of use.
